SKELETAL CRYSTALS 骸骨水晶

Skeletal crystals are usually incomplete when formed and are formed as a result of rapid growth and high saturation. Under these conditions this leads to the edges growing faster than the crystal faces and commonly window shapes will form. There may also be other materials trapped layer by layer inside such as water or clay minerals which give it a skeleton type appearance. Collectors love its natural shape and appearance making it a popular collection. ©HSP
